Why do I see a Xathari confirmation screen when logging out?

When you log out of Xathari, you may see a brief confirmation screen asking you to select your email. This is expected behavior.

Xathari uses a secure identity system that requires a quick confirmation step before fully closing your session. This prevents accidental logouts and protects your account on shared devices.

Once you tap your email, your session is completely closed and you’ll be returned to Xathari.

You are fully logged out even if you close the tab.  The confirmation step only clears the identity session — your Xathari session is already closed.

We know this extra click isn’t ideal, and we plan to streamline this experience in the future as we evolve our identity system.
